\nIn 2016 IELTS introduced a computer-delivered version of IELTS in 20 countries\nfor customers requiring a visa to support their application to come to the UK\nto visit, study or work. Having built on our experience we are now making\ncomputer-delivered IELTS more broadly available commencing in Australia in\nDecember 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new format offers our customers more choice \u2013 now they\ncan choose the format and time to take IELTS that best works for them. Test\ntakers who choose the computer-delivered option will take their Listening,\nReading and Writing sections using a computer. The Speaking test will remain\nface-to-face, as we believe it is the most effective way of assessing speaking\nskills and prompts a more realistic performance from test takers.

If you are applying\nfor a work visa, professional recognition or for permanent residency in Canada,\nit is likely that you will be required to present evidence of English language\nproficiency. IELTS General Training is the only internationally available\nEnglish proficiency test accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship\nCanada (IRCC) for immigration to Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are applying for a Tier 4 Student Visa to enter\ndirectly onto a bachelor or postgraduate degree at a university that is a Tier\n4 Sponsor, you must meet the English language level set by the institution. All\nBritish universities and colleges accept IELTS results.
